Information about Memory Foam Mattress
We have now designed a new memory foam mattress, also called visco-elastic foam. The difference is a top layer of conforming Visco Elastic Memory foam and dense Polyurethane Foam that provides further support along with a thicker and denser inner pad. The ticking is also upgraded to a higher thread count for a longer lasting mattress. We based the construction on our reliable inner spring.
Memory foam was developed for the space program. It was created for the astronauts’ flight chairs to help reduce pressure points caused by G-Forces generated during lift off.
Later it was used in hospital beds and lately into people’s bedrooms. What makes Memory Foam valuable as a bed material? In a word, it’s support. The unique properties of Memory foam allow the bed to actually mold more to your body, eliminating pressure points. Pressure points are the areas on the body that press hardest on the bed. For example, if you’re a side sleeper, your shoulder is your biggest pressure point. Normally, it bears much of the weight of your body. Memory Foam allows your shoulder to sink deeper into the mattress, while your hips and other areas are still supported.
Not only does this eliminate pressure points that can cause restless sleep, numbness and poor circulation, it also has huge benefits for the spine, allowing vertebrae to be aligned more naturally, which reduces back pain.
This new mattress will exceed expectations in sofa mattresses. It will pamper either you or your guests to a comfortable sleep.
We have had built in “Anchor Bands” to tie the mattress to the mechanism. This will prevent slippage as the bed is placed in its’ closed position. As the mattress offers more resistance to close due to its’ more supportive structure, the anchor bands make it that much easier.
